Wyoming warranty reimbursement requirements
Parts and labor eligibility
- Labor reimbursement: Reasonable compensation and time allowances; reasonable retail hourly rate is the ceiling.
- Parts reimbursement: Reasonable statutory retail markup.
- Special parts: No-cost EV propulsion batteries may receive a reasonable handling fee. Complete engine/transmission assemblies have a separate cost-plus-40% rule; other no-cost parts follow subsection (s).
State requirements
- Maximum RO age: Repairs within 180 days before submission.
- Qualifying RO sample: All consecutive ROs containing 100 sequential qualified-repair ROs.
- Alternative sample period: All ROs closed during 90 consecutive days.
- Sample selection rule: Whichever produces fewer ROs, absent mutual agreement.
- Manufacturer response: Contest within 30 days after the applicable submission; supplemental-record provisions apply.
- Rate effective date: Uncontested rate: 45 days after receipt of the applicable submission.
- Request frequency: Once per 12 months unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Statutory exclusions
- Manufacturer/distributor promotions and discounted campaigns.
- Dealer-owned vehicles.
- Specified routine maintenance.
- Accessory installations.
- Vehicle reconditioning.
- Legally required safety or emissions inspections.
- Body repairs for collision, road-hazard, weather, vandalism, theft or other specified damage.
- Items without individual part numbers.
- Internal/employee ROs.
- Third-party labor ROs.
