Idaho warranty reimbursement requirements

Parts and labor eligibility

• Labor reimbursement: Comparable retail rate, subject to the statute’s geographic reasonableness limits.
• Parts reimbursement: Comparable retail rate, subject to the statute’s geographic reasonableness limits.
• Coverage: Motor-home components primarily used for residential purposes are excepted.

State requirements

• Maximum RO age: 180 days before submission.
• Qualifying RO sample: 100 sequential qualifying customer-paid ROs.
• Alternative sample period: 90 consecutive days of qualifying ROs.
• Sample selection rule: Whichever produces fewer ROs.
• Manufacturer response: Reasonable supporting-information request within 30 days.
• Rate effective date: Within 90 days after submission; a timely reasonable information request restarts the 90 days on receipt.
• Request frequency: Once per 12 months.

Statutory exclusions

• Menu-priced work.
• Manufacturer/distributor promotions and discounted campaigns.
• Insurance/service-contract work.
• Legally required safety or emissions inspections.
• Wholesale/fleet work.
• Engine and transmission assemblies.
• Routine maintenance not covered by a retail warranty, unless provided during repairs.
• Items without individual part numbers.
• Tires.
• Vehicle reconditioning.
