Connecticut warranty reimbursement requirements
Parts and labor eligibility
- Labor reimbursement: Statutory retail-rate procedure.

State requirements
- Maximum RO age: Parts: 180 days before submission.
- Qualifying RO sample: Parts: 100 sequential qualifying customer-paid ROs.
- Alternative sample period: Parts: 60 consecutive days of qualifying ROs.
- Sample selection rule: Parts: Whichever produces fewer ROs.
- Manufacturer response: 30 days for rebuttal and proposed adjustment.
- Rate effective date: 30 days after declaration, subject to audit and timely rebuttal.
- Request frequency: Twice per calendar year.
- Labor RO sample: All customer-paid nonwarranty ROs from the preceding month.
Statutory exclusions
- Manufacturer/distributor promotions and discounted campaigns.
- Wholesale parts.
- Engine and transmission assemblies.
- Routine maintenance not covered by a retail warranty, unless provided during repairs.
- Items without individual part numbers.
